Been bouncing around a bit but generally loosing a little every day.  Weekends are tough when we visit family and have such great food.  Usually over eat then and try and kick up the exercise to compensate.

Note: My wife, at the urging of a friend and co-worker, signed up for a biggest loser contest. This is how we added protein shakes to the diet.  The accountability and weekly weigh ins are really helping her with her goals.  I need to get back into some form of accountability setting beside my own desire to lose weight.

OK throw a stomach flu on top of the cold and you can imagine how the weekend went.  Early in the weekend I blew it and gained a bunch but after the flu hit I lost it all and some more.

I have a very bad head cold.  I thought that with all the sugar and honey I consumed yesterday that my weight would gain this morning.  I still ended up losing a pound.  My total consumption was probably down because it hurts to swallow with this sore throat.

Bounced around a bit with some family events and the holidays, back on track again.  Lost 6lbs in the last week.  Added protein shakes into the mix to help keep my intake more constant in the mornings.

Starting over, as of sorts.   This summer turned out to be difficult with all that was going on with our family.  So I’m recalibrating and getting back into the swing of things.

I finally got around to having my blood drawn for the test that the cardiologist requested.  I’ve been feeling so good with 26 lbs lost that I almost forgot I have a follow up with the cardiologist.  I hope the test results come out great!

Note:  I’ve reset my next goal weight to 260 lbs.  This should be a good target.  I am assuming a slow down in weight loss, but I’m hoping with some spring time activities I can keep the weight loss moving, none-the-less.

Hurray!  A milestone reached!

OK, I’m not going to tell you there was some magical way I picked this target.  It came to me as I was trying to set a goal and it stuck with me.  I was surprised the other day when my weight dropped below it because I had not weighed myself in a while as just wasn’t expecting the drop.

This milestone has also turned out to be a bigger deal then I thought.  Firstly,  all my clothes fit better or in some cases are too loose.  I actually have to tighten my belt on certain pants to cause the material to buckles and become uncomfortable at times.  Oh, what a big problem to have.

Talking with my wife about the next goal weight, she brought up a great point.  There will be a time when my weight loss slows down so I as not to create a goal that makes the situation seem worse then it really is.  I need to pick a target weight that is closer rather then farther.

My next target weight is 260lbs.  This is another 15 pounds lighter.

Note:  Wow!  Time to work on a Milestone post and reset to my next target weight.  I’m thinking -15 lbs to 260 lbs.

I had some real bad hunger cravings tonight.  I realized I had not had any ftuit all day so I had a pare and an apple.  Fruit are great snack foods! That really hit the spot.  My stomach seems full and I’m ready to head off to bed.
